猟師さん紹介
A hunter like this will accompany you!

I studied environmental studies in graduate school, traveled to rural areas not only in Japan but also overseas, and worked as an intern to support developing countries. He moved to Ueyama, Okayama Prefecture as a member of Mimasaka City's regional revitalization cooperation team, and even after completing his term in 2015, he has continued to work on restoring rice terraces and solving regional issues in rural areas. I got my hunting license when I was 20 years old. While tackling local animal damage issues on a daily basis, we also sell leather products using captured deer and other animals.

What is Ueyama, Okayama Prefecture like?
LINE_ALBUM_220130_791_edited.jpg

A village of 160 people surrounded by beautiful rice terraces.

The Ueyama district of Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture, where rice terraces still exist, is known as the ``rice-growing region of Mimasaka,'' and there used to be 8,300 rice terraces spread out in an orderly manner. Communities and cultures cultivated through rice cultivation have long taken root in villages and have been passed down, but in recent years, due to the aging of the population, more and more abandoned cultivated land has been created, and the landscape of the past is beginning to disappear.

Therefore, various activities aimed at revitalizing the village began around 2006, led by members who had moved there because they were attracted to the Satoyama lifestyle. We bring our wisdom together and take on new challenges every day as we continue to evolve. “Trap sharing” is one of them. We hope that through each and every person who is interested in "living in the Satoyama," the appeal of it will be conveyed throughout the country, and that the lives of each and every person involved in Ueyama Village will be enriched. .

Creating a sustainable satoyama with “Wananchu”

The more people use this service, the more wonderful changes will occur in the village.

“Satoyama life” where humans and animals can coexist will Continue.

You can support the activities of hunters who continue to Protect Satoyama.

By increasing the number of people involved in the village, the village will become more vibrant.

More and more people are consuming locally produced vegetables and rice along with game meat.

Supports the local economy.
